Default Solo Uw Sin Build

I was looking over some of the newer nightfalls skills for sins and I had an idea for a solo uw sin, sadly enough I cant test it though because I dont have nightfall yet, so Im posting it here for anyone who wishes to test it, hope you have some fun with it and good luck .

Profession Is Assassin/Mesmer

Attribute Points:

Critical Strikes - 0
Dagger Mastery - 0
Shadow Arts - 14 (10+1+3)
Deadly Arts - 9 (6+3)

Illusion Magic - 0
Inspiration Magic - 6
Domination Magic - 12

NOTE: These points are only obtainable with both +15 attribute point quests completed.

Skills:

Shadow Form {Elite}
Empathy
Energy Burn
Shadow Refuge
Deadly Paradox
Spirit Of Failure
Unnatural Signet
Arcane Echo

Armor:

I would suggest using full shrouded with a helm that gives +1 to shadow arts because it gives you more energy, and thats a definent when running this build.

Weapon:

The only weapon I suggest using is a max dmg domination req wand, preferably the one from the collector in snake dance (11-22 Req 9 Domination 10% Chance of Half Recharge / 10% Chance Of Half Casting Time)

Running The Build:

Ok, well my idea was to do it as if you were dualing like with a 55 Monk and a Ss Necro, pulls are all the same, but all the casting you do yourself. The only problem I can really think of that worries me is that your energy might run low fighting grasps because shadow form doesnt protect you from "Fear Me!".
Other then that, "Spirit of Failure" at +3 energy for every attack because every attack will miss because of shadow form for 30 seconds times however many blades/smites u cast it on should be more then enough to hold you.

Pulling this is a little bit difficult though, your going to have to reduce your pulls to minimum groups of just 1-3 blades becuase empathy has a 10 second recharge. So when pulling, you should get the group you want, and pull them into a narrow spot like by the stairs or by the ghosts so only 1 can attack you, and take them out 1 at a time. I noticed theres a 10-11 second gap after your Shadow Forms run out before you can echo and cast again, so I suggest hiding behind the lone ghost on the back side (Ill post screen shots soon). In this spot the blades cant get to you, giving you time to recharge.

What you want to do while pulling all groups is make sure your arcane echo is ready to take "Shadow Form" which is going to be the base of this build. Directly after "Shadow Form" is casted, you always want to put on "Deadly Paradox". Since the recharge on "Deadly Paradox" is 10 seconds and it should be lasting 11 seconds, that gives you a 1 second interval to recast it, which is necessary for the build to work because in doing this, shadow form will recharge in only 30 seconds, which between the Original "Shadow Form" and the "Arcane Echo" version, the original will be recharged and ready to go again. so you have about 1 minute to kill off your blades before they start landing attacks on you. Not that good, but should be very possible between "Empathy" and "Energy Burn".

Anyways, thats about all I can think of, the build runs a little slow, but all the drops are yours for the taking and you have the ability to show off and say "I can solo Uw with my sin" (Lol), tell me how it goes and Id appreciate the feedback, thanks and happy hunting .

I credit only myself for this build.

"Fear Me!" is an adrenaline based skill. If the Grasping Darknesses aren't hitting you (which they won't be, due to Shadow Form), they won't be getting any adrenaline with which to activate the shout.

Sounds like it might work. However, would the Smites and other things in the UW easily out-heal this build, removing your empathy?

i know that much, but i thought they had "To The Limit" for some reason, havent been in ages

(Btw, smites can easily be staffed to death without them using reversal fortune, and with unnatural signet and energy burn with timing it should be easier)

Well, as fun as this may be. It will be slow going.

All single target damage focus. Taking down 1 foe at a time. Not my first pick for efficient/profitable farm runs. However, as this mostly should work despite its slow speed, having the ability to kill cows does give you a slightly better chance of ecto drops then a pure smite run...

As for the build, it does need a bit of work on survival. The 10 or more seconds between your Arcane Echo + Shadow Form/Shadow Form, is more than enough time for cows to completely dominate you. You have nothing in terms of fast recovery or stable defense in these down times. Shadow Refuge is not nearly enough to keep you alive vs Cows or Smites or probly even vs Graspings.

I would brainstorm about what can help you survive during Shadow Form downtimes, and replace Unnatural Signet with that skill. Also, i would try and think up a better dmg source over Energy Burn. I haven't thought enough yet about better survival or dmg, but ill get back to ya...

Just a few ideas to keep in mind, eh?
cheers!

Another idea for a build for this run would be something close, but a little something more to close that 10 second gap like batou said...

Shadow Form {Elite}
Empathy
Energy Burn
Shroud Of Distress
Feigned Neutrality
Deadly Paradox
Spirit Of Failure
Arcane Echo

You would pull averaged size groups of blades (2-3), and with the time from the Shadow Forms, u should be able to kill one and weaken another a little, but a little before the last Shadow Form runs out, you could cast your Shroud Of Distress plus Feigned Neutraility (and if your Spirit of Failures time is running low, recast that on your aggroed group) to get +80 armor, a decent health regen, and a pretty high chance of blocking, or the blades missing you for that 10 second gap.

Its still going to be a bit of a slow running build though, I couldnt find a way to squeeze in a little more damage between the Sin skills and the Mesmer skills without taking away something important, if anyone has any ideas please let me know. Thanks
